Leading Canadian Distributor to Carry Allworx® - the Revolutionary All-in-One System for Phones, PC Network, and Team Productivity for Small Businesses
Agreement marks first international expansion for Allworx 10x
ROCHESTER, NY, May 30, 2003 – InSciTek Microsystems, Inc., designer and manufacturer of the Allworx 10X information and communications platform, announced today that Williams Telecommunications Corporation will distribute its product line in Canada.
Williams, a nationwide Canadian telecommunications distribution company and repair facility, will distribute and service the product line through its large scale network of data and voice resellers. Williams is Canada's leading supplier of telecommunications equipment and peripheral products. It will officially launch the Allworx solution on June 3rd in Toronto and June 5th in Montreal. The Toronto event will feature a presentation on teamwork by Jerome "Junk Yard Dog" Williams of the Toronto Raptors.
"The Allworx 10x system is the first true convergence product, combining IT and telecommunications technology, that meets the critical needs of small-to-medium sized businesses", said Jim Williams, CEO, Williams Telecommunications. "The potential for sales of the Allworx 10x in Canada is tremendous. The product line will allow us to expand our customer base and significantly differentiate our product line. We consider this product, and the relationship with InSciTek, a strategic fit with our long-term growth objectives."
"Williams is one of several leading distributors that have recognized the potential and the need for the Allworx solution in the underserved small-to-medium sized business market," said George E. Daddis Jr., CEO and president of InSciTek. "It is significant that a distributor of Williams' caliber – which carries established products from leading companies – is adding Allworx to its product array. Williams and its cadre of resellers will significantly increase the reach and sales of the Allworx solution."
Allworx is designed to transform IT-intensive, big-business technology into a cost-effective solution for small- and medium-sized businesses. It is a plug-and-play, all-in-one system for phones, PC network, and team productivity. For the cost of the base system, a customer gets a phone system, PC network, and software for each user - calendaring, email, voicemail, unified messaging, and group collaboration tools. Customers simply select their phones and choose from a series of system options like remote access capability and power backup. Allworx was designed to eliminate the price and complexity barriers from the purchase, installation, management and use of infrastructure technology. Simultaneously, Allworx was designed to improve employee productivity, system reliability, and customer communications—all at a 50% cost savings over multi-piece, separate-unit systems.
The agreement with Williams marks InSciTek's second significant expansion this year. In April, the company opened an office in Cary, North Carolina to serve users and value-added-resellers (VARs) in Virginia, Washington D.C., North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. The Rochester, NY –based company already has several distributors carrying the solution in the Northeast.
"Resellers and distributors are realizing that this is a strategic product for today's market and for the future, and they are eager to have a viable new product to offer in the beleaguered telecommunications industry," said Daddis. "There is no other solution that provides users in this market with an easy-to-use data and telecommunications system at an affordable price. Allworx is the first to fully solve a long-standing need of small- and medium-sized businesses."
