East Rochester , NY, October 29, 2007 - Allworx, the Small Business Phone and Network Solutions Company, today at Fall 2007 VON announced, that it has enhanced its family of communications systems with the 6.8 software release for the Allworx 6x, 10x and 24x systems.
Allworx is recognized as the industry leader in voice and network solutions for the SMB marketplace, by providing solutions that offer the richest set of calling features available any VoIP PBX/key-system. Today, Allworx is enhancing its offerings with new functionality that includes unified communications capabilities, multi-language support for international and multi-cultural small and medium sized business customers, and many other features.

Specifically, the Allworx 6.8 software update brings the following enhancements to the Allworx 6x, 10x and 24x voice and network systems:
- Follow-Me-Anywhere Calling Features – have incoming calls search for you by simultaneously ringing multiple external phone numbers (including mobile phones) allowing you to review the calling party's caller ID and decide to accept the call or deliver to an Allworx voicemail box. Users can now consolidate all voice messages to either a single voicemail box or a single email box and eliminate the need to check multiple message areas.
- Off Site Access Calling Features – enable companies with remote employees to make outbound calls through the Allworx system, by leveraging the company's caller ID information, local system phone lines (Analog or SIP), and existing long distance VoIP plan. This helps SMBs avoid unnecessary calling charges from the remote user's site.
- SMS Notification and Escalation of Voicemail – provides multiple users with the option of getting SMS text messages from the Allworx system with Caller ID information to their cell phone or digital pager, each time a voicemail is left in their or another person's voicemail box.
- Remote Multiple Voicemail Indicators – enable users from the same handset to see if - and what - messages are waiting in multiple voicemail boxes.
- Multiple Language Pack – which adds the Spanish language to the auto attendant; voicemail, call answering, call queues, and conference center features.
- Enhanced Network Installation Tools - have been added for resellers to easily identify common network configuration issues and ensure smooth Allworx system installations.
- Expanded 6x User License Keys – provide up to 60 system extensions with voice mail boxes, which doubles the previous capacity of the Allworx 6x.
