Allworx® Introduces New 9202E IP Phone and System Software 7.4 at Enterprise Connect 2012

In addition Allworx will highlight its recently released 6x12 Phone System—to be on display in booth #743

Little Rock, AR - March 27, 2012

Allworx, an award-winning developer of Internet Protocolbased (IP) phones and phone systems for businesses making the switch to bandwidth-based voice infrastructure, today introduced its new 9202E IP Phoneand System Software 7.4 at Enterprise Connect 2012, being held March 26-29 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Fla. The new products are highlighted in Windstream’s booth #743.

The Allworx 9202E IP Phone—the newest phone in the company’s extensive IP phone product line—complements the existing phone family and provides an economical solution to users of the Allworx IP communications system. While its sleek, minimalistic design saves space in environments where desk space is at a premium, the 9202E still provides high-level functionality—without the associated high price point that is typical of other phones of its kind.

“The Allworx 9202E IP Phone sets a new price and performance benchmark, delivering more features and capabilities in a system that is very cost effective for the customer,” said Chris Hasenauer, vice president and general manager of Allworx, a subsidiary of Windstream. “We designed this system with our small-to medium-sized customers in mind, as it achieves the perfect balance between functionality, size, and price.”

The Allworx 9202E IP Phone features:

  • A compact design that fits neatly on a desk
  • Two Call Appearance buttons
  • An easy-to-read 128 x 36 display
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • 10/100 Switch
  • Full-duplex speakerphone
  • Wall mountable
  • Plug-and-play headset connectivity

Allworx, a Windstream company, will also feature another new offering at the Windstream booth—Allworx System Software 7.4. The release of the 7.4 Software Update provides customers with several end-user enhancements. Newtransfer methods—such as one-step and two-step transfer and transfer to voicemail—simplify the call transfer process, while automatic call distribution updates provide new functionality. The update also features expanded on-hold music and ringtone options.

“We are continuously making updates to our phone systems to enhance the user’s experience,” said Hasenauer. “Our system 7.4 release brings us closer to that goal and gives our customers new features that they have been asking for.”

In addition to the introduction of the 9202E IP Phone and the System Software 7.4, Allworx will highlight its recently released 6x12 Phone System in its booth. Specifically designed for small offices with up to 12 employees, the Allworx 6x12 Phone System combines advanced features — such as remote IP phones — with the reliability of true key system operation.
