East Rochester, NY - February 1, 2010
Allworx (www.allworx.com), which develops award winning Internet Protocol (IP) phone and network systems for businesses of all sizes and is a wholly owned subsidiary of PAETEC Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: PAET), today announced that Chris Hasenauer has been named as Vice President and General Manager for Allworx. In his new role, Hasenauer will oversee sales, operations, and the administrative functions of the organization. Jeff Szczepanski, who co-founded Allworx in 1998, will continue to lead research and development as well as hardware and software engineering as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Allworx.
“I’m glad that Chris and Jeff have agreed to take the leadership reins at Allworx and I’m confident in their ability to continue the quality and success which has defined Allworx over the past 11 years,” said Arunas Chesonis, PAETEC chairman and CEO. “Through it all, our commitment to serve our partners has never been stronger.”
Hasenauer originally joined Allworx in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than 15 years of financial and telecommunications management experience to the company. Most recently, Chris has served as the Vice President of Operations for Allworx, where he managed the division’s manufacturing, quality assurance, technical support and logistical operations. In that position, Chris developed and helped launch PAETEC’s IP Simple product, which combines PAETEC’s Dynamic IP voice services with Allworx’s best in class voice over IP Phone systems. IP Simple was named a “Best of Show” product at IT Expo West 2009. Prior to joining Allworx, Chris served as Vice President of Finance at PAETEC.
During his seven years with PAETEC, Chris had direct responsibility over the company’s treasury, public reporting, and mergers and acquisition efforts. Chris played a prominent role in the company’s early equity and debt financing transactions and helped negotiate and close seven PAETEC mergers and acquisitions. During PAETEC’s start-up phase, Chris was instrumental in setting up the company’s treasury and public reporting systems.
Prior to PAETEC, Chris worked for Deloitte & Touche from 1992 to 1999, eventually obtaining the position of Audit Manager with that firm. In this role, Chris performed audit and consulting services for a variety of high tech, manufacturing and service oriented firms. While at Deloitte, he held numerous training positions including working as a visiting instructor at the firm’s European training center in Crete.
Chris received his B.A from the State University of New York at Geneseo and his M.B.A from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He serves as Treasurer for Lake Avenue Baptist Church in Rochester, NY and is a former member of the NYS Army National Guard.
This news follows the announcement that Jeff Howe, former Vice President and General Manager for Allworx, had accepted a senior leadership post for PAETEC as President of the Central Region.
