Music On Hold FAQ's
What do I need to do to have Music On Hold be heard?
Connect a MOH music source using a 3.5mm (1/8in) stereo post connector. Recommended cable has separate red/white RCA connectors on the opposite end.
Attach the red lead to the music source
No administration is required on the PBX
How do I prevent MOH from being played when I place a call on hold?
Administratively disable “Provide Hold Music” parameter on the Handset page.
With “Provide Hold Music” disabled on a handset, held calls still hear music. Why?
The handset must be rebooted after a change is made to the “Provide Hold Music” parameter.
The call is being Parked instead of held; the “Provide Hold Music” parameter only affects calls that are privately held on one's phone.
